Description

The London firewood company provides high-quality split logs perfect for burning in log burners, stoves, chimineas, pizza ovens and open fireplaces. All our wood is sourced locally from woodlands, houses, and estates all over London and Surrey, which is a by-product of our main tree surgery business.

Each bulk bag of split logs purchased will help support British woodlands. Each year we plant over 100 trees from the proceedings of our log sales and could not do it without the support from our customers. Help us to continue providing a great service by buying our locally produced logs.

Seasoning:

All logs are seasoned, meaning they have been naturally air dried for a period of 6-12 months to help reduce the moisture contained in the logs. The moisture levels in our logs are usually around 15-25% but can be burned right away. You should always check the moisture content levels before buying firewood online.

Specifications:

Each bulk/ton bag weighs approximately 200kg and contains a mixture of hardwoods such as Ash, Beech, Oak, Plum, and Cherry. They come in sizes ranging from 4-6 inches wide and 8-12 inches in length, which should be sufficient for most uses.

Please note: They all come in mixed loads and for this reason, we cannot specify the exact percentage of every wood type included in the ton bag.

Recommendations:

Even though our logs come pre-seasoned, it is highly recommended to further season them by placing them in a well-ventilated and dry log storage unit. Alternatively, they can be seasoned in a shed or garage, but remember to elevate them by placing the logs on a pallet or similar material. This will allow the air flow freely and stop the moisture rising from below.
